Pathetic service. Staff is busy taking when I am waiting outside for a shawarma roll. Worst service. Management need improvement in time management as time is money.

Taste-wise, it could really be better. It doesn’t quite capture the authentic shawarma flavor. Also, I’d suggest not going for the plate shawarma — for the price, it doesn’t offer good value.
Place and service is good
Just work on the flavour. Good luck

Tried the full-meat Shawarma and plate Shawarma on two different days. The full-meat version was really good, while the plate felt just average. Overall, a decent experience. I’ll be visiting again.

One of my absolute go-to shawarma spots, and it earns that place for a reason. The meat is consistently juicy, well-marinated, and sliced with the right texture—no dry scraps thrown in. Their garlic sauce has a sharp, creamy kick that lifts every bite, and the wrap is packed without feeling messy. What stands out is the balance: the spices are bold but not overpowering, and the freshness stays constant every time I visit. It’s the kind of shawarma you finish without even noticing, because the flavours are that well-put-together. Easily one of the top picks on my list.

I ordered a full meat shawara from this place today, and when I asked the staff, he said that full meat shawarma has a lot of fries, but normal shawarma has fewer. I tried the full meat shawarma from Ekm, and I had a really bad experience with poor service. As a food blogger, I'm not sure about regular people.

I recently visited Al Taza, Kottayam (Ettumanoor). The food was really good — I’d rate it 4 stars. The service and atmosphere were decent, around 3 stars. Overall, it’s a good place to dine, but the space feels a bit small and congested.

Al Taza's famous shawarma is finally in Kottayam, right here in Ettumanoor!😍 I've been so excited for them to open because their shawarma is always delicious.😃

Their new spot is a small shop inside Hangout Play World, a place where kids and families come to spend some time and have food. Their food tastes just as amazing as I remember. Their shakes and mojitos are also fantastic. The only downside is the limited indoor seating, 😕 but there's plenty of space to sit and eat outside in the play area.👍🏽

The shawarma is a bit more expensive than what you'll find at other places, but I believe the higher price is for the quality and safety they provide. I still think a slightly lower price might attract more customers given the location.😬 Still, if you haven't tried their shawarma, I highly recommend it!😊😊

Visited Al Taza at Hangout Street Out Hunt and tried both the Plate Shawarma Max and the Full Meat Shawarma. The taste was decent, but considering the price, the quantity felt a little less than expected. I also noticed they add french fries to both items, which seemed unnecessary. I also tried their drink, which was quite good. Overall, the place has a nice vibe and the staff are friendly.
